The rendition of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ by the British School Girl Choir sends chills down spines.

While many school choirs may go unnoticed, the Frensham Madrigals stand out for their exceptional performances, such as their rendition of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.” Formed in 1964 by Michael Howard, a music teacher at Frensham Heights School in Surrey, England, this British choir specializes in Renaissance and early Baroque music, particularly madrigals. Comprising around 20 to 25 students from the school, the group has earned acclaim for its high-quality performances and unique repertoire.

At one of their school festivals, featuring the voices of Charlotte Nicholls and Katie Lee, the Frensham Madrigals showcased why they are recognized for all the right reasons. Their choice to perform Queen’s iconic song “Bohemian Rhapsody” captivated audiences.

Released nearly 50 years ago, “Bohemian Rhapsody” remains a legendary piece by Queen. Originating from Freddie Mercury’s solo efforts in the late 1960s, it took the band three weeks to record, resulting in a truly original and beautiful masterpiece.

The Frensham Madrigals’ rendition of this classic is truly excellent, a testament to their numerous competition wins over the years. The full video is available below, and we invite you to share your thoughts with us on Facebook.
