At The Voice UK, 79-year-old rock ‘n’ roll pianist Stan Urban teamed up with the iconic Sir Tom Jones, 83, for a spontaneous performance of Jerry Lee Lewis’s “Great Balls of Fire.” Their lively rendition had everyone in the audience up on their feet, clapping and cheering along.
Hailing from Dundee, Scotland, Urban wowed during his blind audition with Chuck Berry’s “Little Queenie.” His energetic piano playing and strong baritone voice caught the attention of judge Olly Murs, who turned his chair in support.
Both the judges and the audience were visibly thrilled by Urban’s performance, with many urging the other judges to turn their chairs. Despite the enthusiastic response, Murs was the only judge to turn, successfully adding Urban to his team.
