On Britain’s Got Talent, a 60-year-old Wolverhampton mechanic stunned the judges and won the golden buzzer.

After being chosen for the live performances, Simon Cowell informed Donchez Dacres, an alcoholic, that individuals like him “are the reason we make this show.” After he got the crowd moving with his own song, Wiggle Wine, Cowell’s colleague Judge David Walliams hit the buzzer for Donchez, who was born and raised in Jamaica but currently lives in Wolverhampton.

Watch Donchez impress the judges of Britain’s Got Talent:

With Walliams tumbling on Cowell, Alesha Dixon, and Amanda Holden showcasing their routines before joining Dacres on stage with hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly to dance to the music, the roadside mechanic even had the judges moving.

“People like you are the reason we produce this show; you make it entertaining,” Cowell told him.I genuinely like you. “I’ve wiggled and whined my body, but I’ve never done both at the same time,” Walliams continued. You are the epitome of bright sunshine.

“You could have just seen the winner of Britain’s Got Talent,” Cowell stated after turning to the crowd.

After obtaining four yeses from the judges for their rendition of Vera Lynn’s We’ll Meet Again, sung in front of a montage of pictures of their grandparents and great-grandparents who served in World Wars, the D-Day Darlings, a female choir with a military theme, are hoping to join him.

The only judge who did not go on stage with Donchez was Simon Cowell.

“It’s a beautiful way of keeping their memories alive, as well as those of all the incredible men and women who served in WWII,” Walliams said to the women.

“My own grandmother is 97 and fought in the war alongside my grandfather, and that is obviously who I was thinking about,” Holden continued, describing the performance as “perfect for the royal family and the royal variety.”

“As a generation, we must protect them; we must respect their spirit, tenacity, and selflessness.”
